Multilink provides high capacity connectivity to the GRAHN-hosted International conference on Haiti’s reconstruction

Port-au-Prince, May 24 2010 – As a provider of high capacity connectivity, Multilink is proud to have played a role in the success of the last International Conference on Haiti’s reconstruction hosted by the GRAHN (Groupe de Réflexion et d’Action pour une Haïti Nouvelle)*. Held on May 20 and 21, the conference was broadcasted live from Montreal to Port-au-Prince.

Made possible by Multilink’s connectivity services, the broadcast of the event by the means of videoconference allowed participants to share views and ideas live from both locations. Many top-quality speakers participated in the videoconference, including the Ambassador Edmond Mulet, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Haiti and head of the mission for the stabilization of the country.

By using Multilink’s connectivity services, the
GRAHN adds a new dimension to international conferences on Haiti, making them more open and dynamic. “The GRAHN’s International Conference provides a good example of the use of new communication technologies to promote a constructive dialogue between stakeholders from Haiti and abroad,” says Stéphane d’Amours, Multilink’s Marketing & Communications manager.

* Comprised of many organizations and members of the Haitian community in Quebec, The
GRAHN is a think tank and a task force dedicated to Haiti’s reconstruction and development.
